Waldron Podiatry

What’s included

Four ways of looking at how you move.

01

Treadmill running gait analysis

We film you running on the treadmill at your own pace, from several angles, and slow it down to see how your feet, knees and hips move with every stride.

02

VALD ForceDecks

Force plates measure your strength, power and balance through jumps, hops and single-leg tests, and show any difference between your left and right side.

03

FootScan pressure mapping

See how pressure moves through each foot as you stand, walk and run, and where it builds up.

04

Custom orthotics, if you need them

If orthotics are the right answer, we prescribe them from your results. They’re made by our specialist lab and ready in about 3 weeks.

Who it’s for

For anyone who wants answers, not guesswork.

  • Runners with an injury that keeps coming back
  • Getting back to running after an injury
  • Training for a marathon, triathlon or hybrid event
  • Walkers and Camino walkers building up the kilometres
  • Anyone thinking about orthotics who wants them based on real data

How it works

From assessment to a clear plan.

01

Before you come

Bring your running shoes, shorts or leggings, and any shoes you wear most. If you track your training, bring that too.

02

Your assessment

A CORU-registered podiatrist takes your history, then runs the treadmill, ForceDecks and FootScan tests.

03

Your results

We go through what we found with you, in plain language, using your own videos and scans.

04

Your plan

Strength work, training changes, footwear advice, treatment or orthotics: whatever will actually help.

Questions people ask

Do I need to be injured to book?

No. Many people book before a big training block or event, to spot problems before they turn into injuries.

Will I definitely need orthotics?

Not at all. The assessment tells us whether orthotics will help. Often strength work, training or footwear changes are the better answer, and we’ll tell you if so.

What should I wear?

Running kit you can move in, and the running shoes you train in.

Can my health insurance help?

Many plans contribute towards podiatry. Cover varies, so check your policy. We’ll give you a receipt for your claim.
